Pinnacles National Park: Ancient Volcanic Field

Went on a trip with a fellow CHAOS member and the Aussie to Pinnacles National Park!

If you go, definitely wear lots of layers. It gets cold and hot literally within seconds.

Lots of awesome caves to climb through and some truly beautiful sights to see. Also woodpeckers and Condors :)

Great place to climb and boulder (unfortunately I didn't bring any gear to do so) and the Talus caves are very cool.

Fun fact:

"Pinnacles National Park gets its name from rock spires and crags that are remnants of an ancient volcanic field, which eroded over millions of years as portions of the field moved northward along the San Andreas Fault. Rock debris in the form of boulders has weathered and settled, leaving behind spires of volcanic rock and talus caves."
